New paper in Current Opinion
Dr. Farrell has published a new paper with two of her favorite co-authors, Sarah Stanton and Emma Marshall, on the strengths and weaknesses of small, tight knit social networks versus larger social networks with more weak links for combatting social disconnection and promoting better health. Dr. Farrell has published a new paper, "Good Theories in Need of Better Data: Combining Clinical and Social Psychological Approaches to Study the Mechanisms Linking Relationships and Health,” in Perspectives on Psychological Science. Prit Patel gives first year talk
Prit Patel gave an excellent first year talk outlining her masters proposal, “Interaction of Attachment and Self-Determination Need Fulfillment to Predict Daily Support Behavior.” Congrats to Prit on a successful first year amidst a pandemic!
Dr. Farrell named Rising Star
Dr. Farrell has received the Rising Star Award from the Association for Psychological Science. The Association for Psychological Science awards Rising Stars to especially promising recently-minted PhDs based on excellence in publications, significant recognitions, demonstrated independence from mentors, and work with broad impact. Congrats to Dr. Farrell!
Prit Patel joins lab!
The MARSH Lab is thrilled that Prit Patel accepted our offer to join Miami University’s social psych program as the lab’s first grad student! Prit is graduating from the University of Florida this spring, where she has worked as a research assistant in Dr. Greg Webster’s lab.
Dr. Farrell at SPSP
Dr. Farrell presented research from the MARSH Lab on parental involvement buffering the effects of financial stress and SES on glucocorticoid resistance as part of a symposium on SES, relationships, and health that she co-chaired.
